PICT IEEE NEWSLETTER GROUP (P.I.N.G.)

P.I.N.G. (PICT IEEE Newsletter Group) is the official technical magazine of PISB published twice a year. P.I.N.G. serves as a platform for individuals to portray their technical ingenuity. It highlights articles oncutting-edge technologies from technocrats all around the globe including students, industrialists and faculty members. It also features interviews of distinguished personalities in various technical domains. P.I.N.G. aims at keeping its readers up to date on recent developments in technology and helps them extrapolate their perceptions to contemporary ideas of modernisation. With the imminent Issue 16.1, be ready to get P.I.N.G.'d!

PREVIOUS MAGAZINES

P.I.N.G. 14.1, released at Credenz’18 brings with it articles on recent trends in technology including perspectives of Industrialists, faculty members and students with articles like ‘Molecular Clock’, ‘Ballerina’ focusing on Cloud native Programming Language, ‘Tandem Solar Cells’. For Issue 14.1, we had an opportunity to have Mr L.C.Singh, Founder and CEO of Nihilent Ltd. and Mr Prasad Kulkarni, Head of R&D at SAS as a panelist. Our new feature article ‘ANN using DNA’, focuses on the bound-lessness of the universe and the way mankind perceives it.

P.I.N.G. Issue 12.1 was released at Credenz'16. It highlights the interview with incomparable, Padma Vibhushan, founder of the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Dr Jayant Narlikar, with his divergent facts and insight on Cosmology. It holds a special feature called 'Conception', which features Rajeev Dev, Vice President of Digital Transformation at Cybage, and his insights into improving business. 'Neura Headphones', 'Bionic Leaf' , 'Nanoengineering', 'Origami Robot' with 'Neural Dust' and 'Star Trek' by the Editorial Board are some of the special articles. This Issue also brief about IEEE Region 10, Asia Pacific Region and inevitable Achievements of P.I.N.G.

P.I.N.G. 10.1, released at Credenz’14 brings with it technically rich and enthralling writings with articles like ‘Main frame Survive’ detailing an era of microchips and virtual cloud,’Quantum Tunneling’,’Titan’ etc. For issue 10.1, we got an opportunity to interview Mr Kiran Deshpande, President at AirTight International Pvt.Ltd, who gave insight on the networking industry and its future to our readers. Our new feature section ‘The Story of An Entrepreneur’, a review on a tech-startup “Anchanto”, Founded by our alumnus Mr Vaibhav Dabhade brings an endeavouring journey of entrepreneurs.

P.I.N.G. 8.1, released at Credenz’12, being a torchbearer for all future publications explored a variety of topics like ‘Fuzzy Electronics’, ‘The Small World of Big Data’, ‘Apple iMove’ and ‘Green Communication’, while featuring an article ‘How the Internet Affects Our Brains’. We also had Dr Tirthajyoti Sarkar from Fairchild Semiconductor write about how the level of advancement of civilizations can be measured by the amount of disposable energy they have at hand in ‘The Scale of Civilizations’.
